Meet Our Staff

Matt Westman is director of planned giving at Deerfield Academy, where he leads efforts to grow and steward the Boyden Society, which recognizes alumni, parents, and friends who have included Deerfield in their estate plans. Prior to his role in Advancement, Matt spent four years on the Deerfield faculty as a teacher, coach, advisor, and dorm head. He previously held teaching and leadership roles at Groton School, St. Andrew’s School, and King’s Academy in Jordan, where he supported U.S. alumni engagement and the work of the head of school and Board of Trustees. He holds a B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University.

Jessica Remillard has more than 20 years of professional fundraising experience, from the Handel & Hayden Society in Boston to Holyoke Medical Center and then to Deerfield Academy in 2004. Jess has experience with annual fundraising, campaign management, and, especially, gift planning. She manages the administration of Deerfield’s gift planning program, including its legacy society. She also assists with fundraising for the 50th reunion. Jess is an active community volunteer and recently joined the Greenfield Public Library Foundation board.
