Meet Our Staff

Matt Westman is director of planned giving at Deerfield Academy, where he leads efforts to grow and steward the Boyden Society, which recognizes alumni, parents, and friends who have included Deerfield in their estate plans. Prior to his role in Advancement, Matt spent four years on the Deerfield faculty as a teacher, coach, advisor, and dorm head. He previously held teaching and leadership roles at Groton School, St. Andrew’s School, and King’s Academy in Jordan, where he supported U.S. alumni engagement and the work of the head of school and Board of Trustees. He holds a B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University.

Kay Davidson comes to Deerfield Academy with strong experience in fundraising operations and donor relations. She works with all aspects of our planned giving program, including managing our life-income gifts, stewarding Boyden Society members, and corresponding with estate managers. Kay is the day-to-day point person for planned giving inquiries and gift administration.
